重庆建工集团股份有限公司是目前西部地区唯一拥有房屋建筑总承包、公路工程施工总承包双特级资质的国有大型建筑企业集团。直接持有的全资、控股企业25家，注册资本金16.33亿元，各类专业技术人才6075人。2010年荣列中国企业500强第266名、中国建筑企业第15名、重庆市百强企业第3名、西部建筑企业第1名。

Chongqing Construction Engineering Group Corporation Limited was transformed from Chongqing Construction Bureau and was establish in November, 1998. Currently, it is the only large-scale state-owned company which possesses the dual special qualification of housing building and the contracting of overall projects. It administrates 30 wholly-owned or holding subsidiaries with 1.569 billion RMB registered capital and 21.8 billion total assets. Its annually production capacity amounts to 25billionRMB with a troupe of 6532 professional talents in various field. In 2009, the company was listed the 281th among the top 500 Chinese corporations, the 15th among the construction corporations in China and the 5th among the top 100 corporation in Chongqing.
In recent years, sticking to the principle of developing scientifically to build a century-year old company, Chongqing Construction Engineering Group has won more than 400 prizes in state or provincial level, including Lu Ban prize, Zhan Tianyou prize and the Chinese Municipality Golden Cup as well as more than 1000 glories in the provincial level or above, including the highest honor “Heroic Group in the Fight Against Earthquake” awarded by the central committee of CPC, the state council and the military commission and “May 1st Labor Day Medal ”. Now, it possesses core technologies, patent and criteria of building ultrahigh buildings, highways, bridges and tunnels with ultra spans as well as the production of commercial concrete, the manufacture of construction machineries. At present, Chongqing Construction Engineering Group is making efforts to make itself not only the provider of increment service and big construction product system integration, including investment, development, management, operation and service, but also a large-scale corporation with diversified industries.
